Somers To Host Wreaths Across America Ceremony On Saturday

SOMERS, CT — Somers Veterans will host the town’s annual Wreaths Across America ceremony on Saturday, December 13, according to organizers.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. at Center Cemetery, located at 81 Battle Street, Somers.

The event is held each year to remember and honor veterans by laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of the nation’s fallen heroes. As part of the ceremony, the names of veterans are read aloud in tribute.

Public wreath placement will take place immediately following the ceremony, organizers said.

The event is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend and take part in honoring those who served.
