Somers Town Hall Gets a Little Helper for a Day

Somers fourth grader Jack Denehy’s visited to Town Hall on Friday to assist First Selectman Lisa Pellegrini, Town Clerk Ann Logan and Fire Marshal Bob Morpurgo in a Fire Safety Project. 

Jack is a student at Somers Elementary School and he wrote a letter asking if he could help me with a project at Town Hall. 

"We thought we could use his help with a fire safety project, especially since we had a series of short power failures at town hall on Monday that triggered the fire alarms," said First Selectman Lisa Pellegrini. "We talked about the importance of updating a fire evacuation plan and also talked about the importance of updating the mapping of the alarms on the Town Hall floor plans. Jack helped the Fire Marshal confirm the evacuation route for town hall and also helped him map the alarm numbers on the floor plan. Jack was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his help at Town Hall."
