A trash truck took down a pole because of a low-hanging wire, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A trash truck became tangled in a low-hanging wire in Ellington late last week on a tight cul de sac, state police said.
At 10:35 a.m. Friday, the trash truck was headed west on McKnight Circle when what state police described as a "low cable wire" became caught on the top of the truck.
According to a crash report, the truck then pulled the pole and caused it to snap at the base.
