Troop C Police Blotter - Week Ending Sept. 6, 2013

The latest arrests relating to Ellington, Somers and other surrounding towns.

Arrest information is furnished by the state police Troop C barracks. It does not indicate a conviction. 

Mansfield

Sept. 1

Conrad Alicki, 23, was charged with DUI, speeding and failure to drive in the proper lane at 12:39 a.m., state police said. 

He was taken into custody after he was observed driving erratically, according to an incident report. 

Sept 2

At 1:05 a.m., Sarnie Ahmed, 23, was charged with DUI, failure to drive right at a slow speed, and making an improper turn, state police said. 
He was observed driving erratically, state police said. 

Sept. 4

At 5:55 p.m., state police responded to a Mansfield City Road home for a larceny complaint, according to an incident report. 
Change was allegedly taken from a jar in a bedroom, state police said. 
There is a suspect and the case is under investigation, state police said. 

Ellington

Sept. 1

It was reported that between Aug. 29 and 31, someone gained entry into an 
Ardsley Lane home with a key, state police said. 

Among items taken from the residence were a gold diamond tennis bracelet, loose coins and blood pressure medication, state police said. 

The value of the items totaled $2,250, state police said. Investigators have no leads or suspects. 

Tolland

Sept. 1

Conor Pesce, 22, of 136 Valley View Rd., Thomaston, was charged with DUI at 11:12 p.m., state police said. 

He drove through a DUI checkpoint and, when stopped, state police notice the smell of alcohol, asked him to step out of the vehicle and he failed a series of field sobriety tests, state police said. 

Sept. 3

State police arrested Matthew Santomenno, 24, of Norwich, on the following charges: 

• Second-degree failure to appear.
• Second-degree failure to appear.
• Second-degree failure to appear.
• Sixth-degree larceny - shoplifting.
