At approximately 10 p.m., Troop C received an active burglar alarm from the store indicating a “front glass break.” Troopers and Ellington police officers immediately converged on the area where they located a witness. The witness stated a male was attempting to make entry into the store, and that the male fled the area in a green sedan. The witness was also able to provide troopers the sedan’s license plate number, allowing troopers to respond to the residence of the registered owner.

Troopers responded to 10 Linden St., where they located the accused, Kevin Burke. Upon speaking with Burke, troopers determined he was involved with the recent burglaries. Troopers also located evidence that indicted Burke as being involved in the burglaries.
