Vehicle Fires Quickly Extinguished On Main Street In Somers
Several vehicles were fully involved, according to the fire chief.

SOMERSVILLE, CT — Several vehicles were destroyed by fire outside a Main Street auto repair business late Tuesday morning, but the blaze was quickly contained before it could spread to any buildings.
Fire Chief David Lenart said the fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. behind The Car Place at 115 Main Street. Upon arrival, firefighters found several vehicles fully involved. Crews quickly brought the fire under control and prevented it from spreading to the structure.
About 20 firefighters, including some who provided mutual aid from neighboring towns, operated at the incident for one hour. No injuries were reported, Leinart said.
