Annual Hike Along Scantic River In Enfield Set For Super Bowl Sunday
The yearly Super Bowl afternoon hike will showcase the scenic and natural beauty of the Scantic River.

ENFIELD, CT — Members of the Scantic River Watershed Association (SRWA) invite the public to stretch their legs before the big game on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 11 for a hike along the Scantic River.
The hike will begin at the parking lot of the Powder Mill Barn at 32 South Maple Street, and will tour along the Scantic River, showcasing some of the many historical ruins of the Hazard Powder Company as well as the scenic and natural beauty of the river.
Part of the hike, which covers a total distance of about two miles, requires hiking up a moderately steep incline. Hiking shoes and appropriate dress for the weather conditions are recommended, and participants are asked to wear their favorite Super Bowl team colors.
