• 160-Unit Enfield Project Back On Zoning Board Agenda As Discussion Continues (patch.com) — Enfield residents will see a key decision Thursday as the Planning and Zoning Commission resumes debate, and possibly votes, on a zoning change for a 160‑unit apartment complex on South River Street. The proposal would shift riverfront land from single-family to higher-density housing, add a riverwalk and extensive parking, and has already drawn neighborhood concerns about traffic, safety, and community impact.

• East Hartford man's criminal history sparked SWAT response to 911 call, warrant says (greenwichtime.com) — Enfield residents should know that a police K-9 from their town helped locate a wanted East Hartford man during a tense SWAT standoff in Rocky Hill earlier this month. Officers evacuated residents, used a drone and tear gas, and eventually arrested the suspect, who now faces multiple charges and a court date in New Britain.
