Enfield Dad 'Always Shows Eternal Love For His Family,' Daughter Says

ENFIELD, CT— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Enfield, meet Larry.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Trisha Boucher who nominated Larry of Enfield.

What makes your dad extra special?

My childhood, like myself being wrapped around his little finger, was wrapped around being my father’s side kick.

From taking my first steps to him, never going to sleep without the sound of his voice reading me a story before saying my prayers, learning about what “real” music consisted of, learning to ride without training wheels with him alongside, being his “date” every summer weekend with the pit crew at Riverside Speedway, learning to drive and then learning to drive a 5 speed (gotta love the patience of a dad), learning about the power that comes with compassion, laughter and family.

That is my dad.

For those of you that know him, a TBI years ago robbed a lot of things he can still not easily recall.

I can still remember and I know in my heart he remembers even better.

Love you Dad!

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

Through years of severe trials and struggles, my father has never not shown, in his own special ways, the eternal love for his family.
