Enfield Food Drive Proves To Be Wildly Successful
The collection, which took place in the Enfield Town Clerk's office, collected enough food to provide hundreds of meals.

ENFIELD, CT — A recent food drive at the Enfield Town Clerk's office proved to be wildly successful, according to town officials.
In fact, the food drive — which took place Nov. 3-20 — resulted in 470 pounds of food being donated, enough to make about 392 meals, according to the Town of Enfield.
"With Thanksgiving right around the corner, our local food shelves are seeing increased demand as they work to support families in need," wrote the town Nov. 21.

During the food drive, the town clerk’s Office set up a donation point to collect non-perishable food items for the Enfield Food Shelf, "and our community showed up in a big way," wrote the town.
Enfield officials offered a "heartfelt thank-you to everyone who donated and helped support residents of the Town of Enfield."
