ENFIELD, CT — Enfield's emergency responders, on Saturday, will be out at the local library making sure local children are safely buckled up in their car seats.

Both the Enfield police and fire departments will be at the Enfield Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 27, for a special car seat safety check program.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library, which is located at 104 Middle Road, Enfield.

As anyone transporting children can attest, properly installing a child seat can be an inexact science, especially for someone who is new to transporting children.

At Saturday's event, child car seats will be safety checked and fixed by certified child passenger safety technicians with either department.
