The proposed five-story residential building along South River Street would have a riverwalk path and over 171 parking spaces, according to plans filed online. The developer seeking the zoning change, <a href="https://www.southriverrealty.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">South River Realty</a>, is based in Massachusetts. The five-acre site, currently zoned for single-family homes, would be reclassified to allow higher-density multifamily housing. If approved, a subsequent site-plan approval application would be required. Enfield's Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on December 4th to review the zone change request.
