Enfield May Rezone 5 Acres For Large Riverfront Housing Development
The five-acre site, currently zoned for single-family homes, would be reclassified to allow higher-density multifamily housing.
ENFIELD, CT — The Town of Enfield has received an application to rezone several riverfront parcels to allow for a 160-unit housing complex, according to documents on the town's website.
The proposed five-story residential building along South River Street would have a riverwalk path and over 171 parking spaces, according to plans filed online. The developer seeking the zoning change, South River Realty, is based in Massachusetts.

Enfield's Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on December 4th to review the zone change request.
