Enfield PD All Out While Enforcing The Rules Of The Road
The EPD is asking motorists to be exceptionally careful on local roadways as the weather cools and the holidays approach.

ENFIELD, CT — If you're cruising through Enfield, you'd better follow the rules of the road.
The Enfield Police Department is watching.
That was clear this week, and it will likely be something motorists will have to contend with for a while.

Case in point was what the EPD was up to on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
From 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., they were all over the place in Enfield's roadways and neighborhoods.

" Although it is now October, we weren't looking for ghosts and goblins," wrote police in a statement. "We were looking for drivers who were not obeying traffic laws."
Police said they were out and about in myriad locations where residents have been complaining about speeders and others violating the rules of the road.
"We also targeted the shopping district where we have had numerous motor vehicle collisions," police wrote.
Ultimately, police said this isn't about amassing fines, but simply urging folks to be more careful, especially as the weather further chills and the calendar goes further into the holiday season.
