Enfield Resident Wins Powerball (But Not Completely)

ENFIELD, CT — A resident's trip to an Enfield convenience store late last week led to a very joyous weekend after a lottery game windfall.

According to the Connecticut Lottery Corp., the resident won $50,000 playing Powerball, a figure that, while short of the life-changing jackpot, still likely put a smile on the player's face.

The winning ticket was purchased on Friday, Oct. 3, at the One Stop convenience store located at 126 South Road, Enfield.

Powerball is a multi-state lottery drawing that regularly carries massive jackpots, with the current jackpot listed at $233 million, with jackpots sometimes exceeding $1 billion.
