October Classes:
October classes will run Monday, October 3 through Friday, October 28. November classes will begin on Monday, October 31. The October newsletter is now available online at www.enfield-ct.gov/seniors or is available for pickup at the Senior Center. Registration for October programs has begun and will be accepted until classes are full.

Computer Classes:
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Drop-in Tech Help on Wednesday, October 5 is cancelled.
Cupcake Decorating Class:
Friday, October 7, 1:00-3:00pm.
Join us for Mimi’s Cupcake Decorating Class, where you will learn decorating techniques. Each person will receive 1 dozen cupcakes to decorate in a seasonal theme. All supplies are provided. Limit: 12 students. Resident $15.00, non-resident $19.00.

Fun Bingo:
Wednesday, October 5, 10:45-11:45am.
Drop-in and play a few games for small cash prizes. Cost is fifty cents per card. Please bring exact change.
Ceramics:
Thursday, October 6-27, 9:00-11:00am.
Learn ceramics from preparing greenware to finishing or firing pieces. Greenware and firing are an additional cost. Resident $16.00, non-resident $20.00.
Flu Clinic:
Thursday, October 6, 10:30am-1:30pm.
Get your flu shot at the Enfield Senior Center. Most major insurances accepted. Make sure to bring your driver’s license or official ID and health insurance card to your appointment. Registration is recommended but not required. Call 860-763-7425 to inquire on how to register.
Coloring for Stress Relief:
Thursday, October 6, 1:00-3:00pm
Coloring generates wellness, quietness and stimulates the brain’s areas related to motor skills, senses, and creativity. Please sign up at the front office. Free.
Jewelry Making:
Friday, October 7, 9:30-11:30am.
Create a piece of jewelry or re-string a dated piece to create something new. Sandy brings in a large collection of beads and provides instruction and all tools. Beads and closures are purchased separately. Resident $5.00, non-resident $6.00.
Senior Safety Day – presented by TRIAD:
Friday, October 7, 12:00-2:00pm.
Visit with Police, Fire, EMS, Social Services, CT Poison Control Center, Alex’s Army and more. Get a free hot dog and enjoy our new Bocce Courts and Cornhole games donated by the Friends of the Senior Center. Free.
Senior Living TV:
Host Martha McLeod will interview Uriana Reyes, regional CHOICES Director for the North Central Area Agency on Aging. CHOICES is a free program for members new to Medicare who want to find out about Medicare health insurance options available to them. CHOICES can also help existing Medicare members who are interested in changing their Medicare insurance program. Senior Living airs on Cox Cable channel 15 on Thursdays at 6:30pm and on Fridays at 9:30am.
CHOICES Counseling:
Will St. George, CHOICES Counselor, will offer free 45-minute appointments on Friday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm and Monday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm at the Senior Center. To book an appointment, call 860-763-7425,
