Enfield Town Hall Hosting Thanksgiving Food Drive

The town clerk's office is collecting Thanksgiving items through Nov. 20 for the Enfield Food Shelf.

ENFIELD, CT — The Town of Enfield is collecting food for Thanksgiving so folks having difficult economic times can enjoy the holiday this year as well.

The annual Thanksgiving Food Drive at Enfield Town Hall's town clerk's office, 820 Enfield St., is ongoing through Nov. 20.

Folks are invited to donate food to the town clerk's office Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Specific items sought are: stuffing, creamed soups, bread mixes, gravy/broth, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, olives/pickles/cereal, macaroni and cheese, instant potatoes, as well as peanut butter/jelly.

All donations will go to the Enfield Food Shelf to help local clients.

"Let’s come together as a community to help every family enjoy a warm, hearty Thanksgiving meal," wrote the town.
