Massive Lottery Win For Enfield Man (And It Has Happened Before)

ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield man appears to have all the luck, having recently scored significant wins playing two Massachusetts State Lottery games, including one for a $ 1 million grand prize.

According to the Massachusetts Lottery Corp., Enfield resident Sevan Garabettian became the first $1 million grand prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “Ghostbusters” instant ticket game.

The $5 game went on sale Sept. 9, and Garabettian won his life-changing jackpot Sept. 22.

Lottery officials said Garabettian chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).

He said he plans on purchasing a new home and investing with the winnings, according to Mass. lottery officials.

Garabettian purchased his winning ticket at Quick Pic, 1 River Road, in Agawam, Mass.

The store receives a $10,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket, according to the Mass. lottery.

Incredibly, lottery officials said Garabettian won $10,000 the week before on an instant ticket sold at the same location.

The “Ghostbusters” instant ticket includes two more instant grand prizes of $1 million.
