New Leader Named For Enfield Police Explorers

The program honored a longtime advisor's retirement and introduced new leadership.

ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Police Department Explorer Program used its annual Family Night on January 2 to mark a major leadership change, according to the department's social media post.

Lieutenant Pedemonti was honored for his retirement after 16 years as the program’s Lead Advisor. Pedemonti has served the Town of Enfield since 1982 and was credited with helping build and guide the Explorer Program for more than a decade.

During the event, police also introduced Sergeant Wyllie as the new Lead Advisor for the Enfield Police Explorers. Department officials said Wyllie will take over leadership of the youth program moving forward.

Police said the Explorer Program remains focused on community service and youth development as it heads into 2026.
