• Enfield Resident Wins Big Lottery Prize (patch.com) — An Enfield resident has scored a $30,000 prize on a 10X CASH 18TH EDITION scratch ticket bought at Enfield Market on Weymouth Road, according to the Connecticut Lottery. While the winner’s identity remains private under a new state law, the win highlights both local luck and recent changes to how lottery winners are publicly identified in Connecticut.
   

• Enfield Business Closes After Nearly 50 Years, Owner Says (patch.com) — A longtime Enfield fixture, Connecticut Custom Car on Enfield Street has closed after nearly 50 years in business, with five employees laid off following rising overhead costs. The Route 5 auto body and restoration shop, founded in 1976 by Walt and Dianne Wosko, officially shut its doors November 26, according to a state labor filing.
