Pedestrian Killed In Enfield Crash, Police Say

Police say the victim was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries and later died.

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield police are investigating a deadly crash that left a pedestrian dead Thursday evening on Route 190, according to a news release from the department.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hazard Avenue and Glen Arden Lane. Police said the driver of a Toyota Camry remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Somers EMS rushed the pedestrian to Johnson Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, and the person was later pronounced dead. According to the release, the victim’s name has not yet been released, pending notification of the family.

The Enfield Police Department Traffic Division is leading the investigation with assistance from a regional crash reconstruction team, officials said
