20-Year-Old Enfield Man Reported Missing, Search Leads To State Park, Police Say

His vehicle was later discovered burned near the entrance to the park, officers say.

ENFIELD, CT — The Enfield Police Department is assisting East Windsor Police and Connecticut State Police in an active missing person investigation centered around Scantic River State Park near the Enfield town line.

On Tuesday evening, officials say an extensive search was planned in the park and surrounding neighborhoods for 20-year-old Julius Stocinis. K9 teams were sent to search in Royce Memorial Park, including Simon Road, Town Farm Road, and Grant Road in Enfield.

East Windsor Police began searching for him on December 1st, around 5:30 p.m., after family members reported they had last heard from Stocinis earlier that morning at about 5:45 a.m. His vehicle was later discovered burned near the entrance to the park, officers say.

Officials stressed that there is no immediate public safety concern for residents.
