Enfield for Education is happy to announce our Warm Hearts, Warm Hands Mitten / Glove Drive to benefit our children here in Enfield. We began as a local coalition to fight for full school funding as well as to ensure a strong future for all of our children, and in August of 2024, we went to work for our students. We amplify the concerns of our citizens who care about the future of Enfield and we are building a network of volunteers, community members, and businesses to help us.
Our mission has expanded to supporting families in and out of school - as our children’s needs should be met not just during the school day, with great teachers and staff assisting in academics; but also in every aspect of their life: clothing, food, and the like.
As winter approaches, Enfield for Education is launching our Mitten / Glove Drive to ensure that every child in our community stays warm this season. Many children in Enfield, from preschool through high school, are in need of new gloves or mittens to protect them from the cold.
