2 Suspects Accused Of Burglarizing, Vandalizing Deep River School

Police are searching for suspects accused of breaking into a Deep River middle school and damaging student art work and school equipment.

DEEP RIVER, CT — State police are searching for two suspects accused of vandalizing a middle school last month.

Troop F in Westbrook posted that the burglary occurred Dec. 22 between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. at John Winthrop Middle School on Winthrop Road. The incident was reported to police the following morning.

“Upon Troopers arrival, the property was surveyed for damage and vandalism was observed to students art work, school electronic equipment, and various pieces of school equipment,” state police said.

Police said the two suspects were found on security footage running through common areas of the school. Both suspects were wearing masks, winter jackets, hats, and gloves.

The incident remains under investigation.
