  1. Beginning January 18, there will be no more bags at Walmarts throughout Connecticut. According to the Hartford Courant, "this is part of the corporation’s sustainability goals and means all customers must bring their own bags or buy recyclable bags at the store, according to Walmart officials. “We think this step is a really important one in our journey toward sustainability,” said Felicia McCranie, Walmart’s director of corporate affairs. “Walmart is doing our part to continue to work toward zero net waste.”' (Hartford Courant)
  2. According to a Facebook post from Goodspeed Musicals, '"it’s time to SING OUT! Goodspeed is holding local auditions for our upcoming production of “Gypsy.”We're looking for young actors to play ages 8-12. Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 11 starting at 10 a.m. in East Haddam. All auditions are by appointment only.
