Covid-19 Positive Case Impacts Students At Region 4 Schools

ESSEX, CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, CT — The emergency email concerning a positive case of Covid-19 went out to parents on Monday morning. It read:

"Dear Parents, Guardians, and Staff of Chester, Deep River, Essex, and Region 4 Schools,

Over the weekend we were notified of a positive case of COVID-19. We consulted with the Connecticut River Area Health District to determine appropriate steps.
This case impacted 6 students at Deep River Elementary and 1 student at John Winthrop Middle School. Students and staff members who were in close contact with this individual have been contacted by their school principal."
