- Looking for a new house, and want to get a better feel for what's available near you? Perhaps you could use some help finding the perfect place for you and your loved ones? Not to fear! To save you some time, we here at Patch have compiled the latest batch of five new listings nearby. Here’s a sampling of the newest batch of properties to hit the market in and around Essex-Chester-Deep River — including a home in the Essex area for $124,900, and another in the Essex area with 4 beds and 4 baths for $2.7 million. - The Essex Land Trust is asking visitors to it’s preserves to pick up after their animals, pointing out the fact that dog fecal matter is a major contributor to stormwater pollution. According to their Facebook post, "one out of three households have at least one dog, and all that dog poop left out can be blown into storm drains, lakes, and streams. When in water, the liquefied waste consumes the oxygen and releases ammonia, which contaminates our resources as well as harms the fish that reside there." So, the Trusts asks, please pick up your pet's poop! (Essex Land Trust via Facebook)
