- It's college crunch time for many families in the area and the Essex Library is offering a Continued Interest Workshop on February 16 at 7 p.m. via Zoom to help with the process. According to the program's press release, if your teen was waitlisted by their first-choice university, writing a Letter of Continued Interest will show their dream school they are still interested, and highlight their best traits as a candidate. Join writing consultant and college essay coach Kristie Schmidt in this workshop to learn more about Letters of Continued Interest: what they are, how they can help, and tips and tricks to write a strong letter to impress university admissions staff. This online Zoom program is free and open to all teens in grades 10-12 looking to learn more about Letters of Continued Interest. Registration is required.
