  1. The First Congregational Church in Essex has a new pastor, Dave Stambaugh. He hailed from the Congregational Church of Green’s Farms in Westport and was a child actor. He got interested in the ministry he told Zip06.com, after his father died when he was in 8th grade and he sought solace and support from the youth minister at his church and attended youth group in high school. According to Zip06.com, "[Stambaugh] attended Messiah College, (now Messiah University), earning a master of divinity from Alliance Theological Seminary and a master of sacred theology from Drew University." Say hello to Pastor Stambaugh when you see him next!
