A Quiet New Year's Eve, With No Big Gatherings In Essex

Recommending masks be worn when indoors, First Selectman of Essex, Norm Needleman, talks about New Year's plans.

ESSEX, CT — First Selectman of Essex, Norm Needleman commented on the current Covid-19 situation in the town and throughout the state.

"I strongly recommend that masks are worn whenever people are indoors (except at home) and that people stay home if they suspect that they Covid or have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for Covid or has Covid symptoms," said Needleman.

He added, "I urge people to have a quiet New Year's and to avoid large gatherings."

As of Thursday evening, there was no concrete time or date as to when the Covid at-home test kits will be available for Essex residents.
