Small Aircraft Crashes In Deep River

Injuries have been reported, according to reports.

DEEP RIVER, CT — The Deep River Fire Department said it is currently responding to a crashed plane on Cedar Lake Road in town.

"Please steer clear of the area if it all possible, and expect temporary stops or delays if traveling on Cedar Lake Road," fire officials said.

WFSB 3 TV reported that the plane in question is a glider plane and that it crashed in the woods just after 4 p.m. Friday. Injuries have been reported and LifeStar helicopter responded.

Hearst CT reports that the glider plane crashed in an area that is close to the Chester Airport.
