- Learn how to crochet for a good cause. There is a free monthly class for anyone interested in learning or teaching others to crochet or knit baby blankets, hats & booties for newborns at Middlesex Hospital through the Nick Ramcke Fund and Heidi Ramcke at 199 Middlesex Ave, Chester. "The class will also be making shawls and lap blankets for hospice when needed or red, white and blue items for the veterans in Middlesex Hospital. For Yale Children’s Hospital we are looking to make bright blankets, cowls, hats, socks or anything homemade for the sick children preemie through 18 years old. Let me know if you are interested and feel free to invite a friend! We supply all yarn, needles and hooks at each class. We are non-profit through the Community Foundation of Middlesex County under Angels of Nick Ramcke Fund. Anything you donate either monetary, yarn or finished projects ( with receipts) can be used for your taxes. If you would like to help or teach just let me know. If you have any questions either text or leave a message on my cell (860) 575-8482." (Facebook event page)
