  1. In an effort to help the community, Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau will be holding suicide prevention and Narcan training programs, offering both virtual and in-person sessions.   2. The Deep River/Chester Little League board is looking for new members. According to a Facebook post on the page, the vote goes out at the beginning of October. There are no term limits, all positions are open. If you are interested in joining the board, please email drclittleleague@gmail.com. Positions are as follows: president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, equipment manager, concessions manager (two people), safety officer, fundraising coordinator and softball coordinator at large.   3. Do you want to learn more about Tarot cards? Then you should head to the Deep River Library for the Tarot Card: From Renaissance to Modern Day program which will be held on October 26, from 6 - 7 p.m. Join Master Tarot counselor, local East Haddam resident, Pamela Ryder, for a presentation on the historical development of the Tarot cards and their journey from the Renaissance to modern day. According to the library's website, "Ryder will discuss the facts and flights of fancy surrounding the Tarot as well as the historical figures and events that influenced the artwork, meanings, and use. Every person in the audience will get a one-card reading. A $1 raffle will be held after the class, with the winner receiving a free, 60-minute reading with Pamela to be held at a future date.
