- Chester has received a delivery of approximately 550 at home test kits from the State of Connecticut.
- There are more than 4,000 people who live in Chester.
- We will be allocating approximately 100 of these tests for controlled use by our first responders and other critical workforce members such as Fire, Ambulance, Public Works, Police and leadership positions.
- We are also coordinating with our public schools to ensure that they can remain healthy and school can continue to operate.
- The remaining test kits will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis at tomorrow's drive through distribution event.
- In order to receive a test kit, you must provide proof of Chester residency (mail or identification showing address).
- Distribution will be limited to one test kit per household, and is meant to ensure residents can make wise decisions about quarantining or isolating if showing symptoms or after exposure to someone who is COVID positive..
