Attorney Philip Pires Receives 'Young Turk' Award
The award honors a newer member of the Fairfield DTC whose contributions have helped shape the Town of Fairfield.

From Cohen and Wolf: On April 23rd, the Fairfield Democratic Town Committee will recognize Philip C. Pires at the 2017 Century Club Brunch as this year’s recipient of the Denise Dougiello “Young Turk” Award. The Young Turk Award honors a newer member of the Fairfield DTC whose contributions have helped shape the Town of Fairfield.
Mr. Pires serves as the minority leader of Fairfield’s Representative Town Meeting (RTM), and has represented District 4 (formerly District 7) on the RTM since 2013. He presently serves on the RTM’s Legislation and Administration Committee, and the Special Legislative Management Committee. Mr. Pires has been extremely active on the Fairfield DTC, volunteering for numerous local and state campaigns and serving as the Assistant District Leader for District 4.
Mr. Pires is a principal of Cohen and Wolf, P.C., and practices law in the areas of commercial litigation, municipal law, and land use and zoning. He has been named a “Rising Star” by Connecticut Super Lawyers (2012 – present) in the category of Business Litigation, and has received an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Rating, the highest possible Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale- Hubbell.
