Riverside Drive Bridge Reopens In Fairfield
The span had been closed for construction for more than a year.
FAIRFIELD, CT — The Riverside Drive Bridge in Fairfield, which has been closed for more than a year for flood mitigation work, was slated to reopen this week, according to First Selectperson Christine Vitale.
"Thank you to our residents for your patience and cooperation as we worked through this process," Vitale wrote in a recent community update.
The bridge was closed while the town replaced the culverts at Turney Creek to improve the infrastructure in the area, rebuild the sewer siphon, and help with flood mitigation.
