Fairfield Resident Hits Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket

The lucky ticket was also sold locally, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

FAIRFIELD, CT — An unnamed Fairfield resident is $10,000 richer just in time for Christmas after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Friday, the person claimed a winning 10X CASH 18TH EDITION ticket that was bought at Jays Mobil on the Run on Black Rock Turnpike.

The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners’ names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.

The game, which costs $10 per ticket, began in October, and as of Monday, 200 grand prizes of $10,000 remained unclaimed.

More than 5.2 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.95.
