1 Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into House In Fairfield: UPDATE

FAIRFIELD, CT — A vehicle crashed into a home on North Benson Road near Barlow Road in Fairfield Monday morning, injuring the driver and temporarily closing a portion of the road, according to Fairfield police.

The crash occurred at about 8:35 a.m., and the injured driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The extent of the driver's injuries, and the person's condition, were not immediately available.

Police have reopened the road, and the "circumstances leading up to the crash are currently under investigation," Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch.

"The Fairfield Building Inspector assessed the home to ensure it remains safe for the residents," Wellington said.
