Decision Made On Monday Classes At Fairfield Public Schools

Sunday's storm dumped inches of snow throughout the area.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Public Schools will have a two-hour delayed opening on Monday, Dec. 15, due to the inclement weather that swept through Connecticut on Sunday, district officials announced.

"Due to extreme cold and the possibility of refreezing of roadways and parking lots, all Fairfield schools will operate on a two-hour delay, Monday, December 15, 2025, to allow for safer travel conditions," officials wrote in a statement. "There will be no AM Pre-School.

"All maintenance and custodial staff should report at their usual scheduled time to assist with building and grounds preparation. Central Office will open at 9:30 a.m."
