Exterminator Accused Of Stealing $10,000 Worth Of Jewelry From Fairfield Home: Police
The crime is alleged to have occurred in April, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A 33-year-old Ansonia man, who was contracted to do extermination work at an apartment in Fairfield, is accused by police to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from the home and pawned the pieces, Patch has learned.
Anthony Sead was arrested last month and charged with second-degree larceny in connection with the theft, which is alleged to have occurred in April.
The charge of second-degree larceny, a felony, involves a theft of property or services of at least $10,000.

"On 4/8/2025 Fairfield Police received a report of several pieces of gold jewelry, valued at approximately $10,000, missing from an apartment," Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch in a statement. "The only non-family member known to have entered the residence around that time was maintenance worker Anthony Sead."
Fairfield police detectives developed Sead as a suspect through a review of security footage and additional evidence, according to Wellington.

"The investigation revealed that Sead had pawned the missing jewelry," Wellington said.
Sead was released after posting a $5,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on July 23.
