Fairfield First Selectman Uses 'Red Nose Day' To Fight Childhood Poverty

Michael Tetreau proclaimed today as "Red Nose Day" in recognition of the national campaign benefitting Fairfield-based Save the Children.

From Save the Children: Fairfield First Selectman Michael Tetreau proclaimed today (Thursday, May 25) as “Red Nose Day” in recognition of the national charitable campaign benefitting Fairfield-based Save the Children and other charities fighting childhood poverty both in the U.S. and around the world. First Selectman Tetreau presented the proclamation to Susan Ridge, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Save the Children U.S. headquarters in Fairfield. Tetreau was joined by Fairfield Superintendent of Schools Dr. Toni Jones, students from Fairfield Ludlowe High School and Fairfield Warde High School’s Save the Children clubs, and Save the Children staff members. The event coincided with the third annual “Red Nose Day Special” which airs nationally on NBC on Thursday night.
