Fairfield Homeowners Asked To Return Data Mailers For Upcoming Revaluation
The Data Mailers ask property owners to confirm key details about their property.
FAIRFIELD, CT — With the town's property revaluation underway, Fairfield's Assessor’s Office, in coordination with the First Selectman’s Office, is urging all residential property owners to promptly review and return the Data Mailers recently sent as part of the property revaluation process.
These Data Mailers ask property owners to confirm key details about their property to ensure the town’s assessment records are current and accurate. Residents should respond to:
✅ Ensure their property information is correct and up-to-date
✅ Help keep the revaluation process fair and equitable for all property owners
✅ Reduce the overall cost of the revaluation to taxpayers
✅ Prevent the need for an in-person inspection by Tyler Technologies staff

“The more responses we get by mail, the fewer properties need physical inspections,” Town Assessor Ross Murray said in a statement. “This saves time, lowers costs, and ensures greater accuracy.”
The first round of Data Mailers has already been sent to all residential properties. A second re-mailing will soon go out to owners who have not yet responded as of July 7, 2025. Property owners who do not return the form should expect a physical inspection of their property.

Murray added, “Please take a moment to review your Data Mailer and return it as soon as possible. Your cooperation helps make this important town-wide project more efficient and cost-effective for everyone.”
