The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. on May 27 when officers responded to a parking lot on Black Rock Turnpike after a vehicle was peppered by multiple BBs, which police found scattered on the ground near the parked car.
"The victim reported seeing a male fire the BB gun from his own vehicle," Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington said in an email to Patch. "Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and identified Mossa as the operator. A BB gun and a bag of BB pellets matching those found at the scene were recovered."

Wellington said that Mossa admitted to firing the weapon.
"At this time, there does not appear to be any connection or prior dispute between Mossa and the victim," Wellington said. "Mossa stated he discharged the BB gun as a way to manage his anxiety and believed he was shooting at a pole, not at a vehicle."
The sergeant added that such activity is considered dangerous.
"We want to remind the public that even a BB gun is considered a weapon when transported in a motor vehicle, and discharging it in public is a serious offense," Wellington told Patch. "Projectile weapons of any kind, including BB guns, airsoft guns, paintball markers, or Orbeez launchers, should never be used in public spaces. Doing so can cause injury, property damage, and alarm among the public, and may lead to criminal charges."
Moss was released on a $10,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Monday, June 9.
