"When officers located him on Route 8, he refused to stop for emergency lights and sirens," Fairfield Police Sgt. Jenna Wellington told Patch. "Officers did not follow Rosario in accordance with Connecticut state statute, as he began to drive recklessly and increased his speed."
Rosario returned home later that day, and was taken into custody by police after a brief struggle, according to Wellington.

"During questioning, he admitted to taking the car to seek drugs and acknowledged seeing police lights but claimed he fled because he didn’t think they were state police," Wellington said.
Rosario remains in custody in lieu of bail of $35,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Feb. 3.
