Fairfield Public Library Invites Children to 'Mad Science'

Join us when Mad Science visits the library to talk about nutrition. This workshop teaches children the essential elements of a well-rounded diet and a healthy lifestyle. Students will conduct experiments that show them the important features of various food groups, how an active lifestyle helps to prevent certain diseases and how bile helps with the digestion of food. This program is for kids entering grades 3-5. We will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 4 p.m. in the Rotary Room at the main library, 1080 Old Post Rd. Registration is required and begins on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

Mad Science Group, Inc. brings science education to millions of children throughout the world each year. Their fun and innovative programs encourage scientific literacy in children.

There’s still time left – if you haven’t already, don’t forget to register for this year’s summer reading challenge – “On Your Mark, Get Set . . . Read!” Start reading your way through the Hall of Champions, and explore all of the interesting things to do at the library this summer.
