FAIRFIELD, CT — The Greenfield Hill Farmers Market opens for the season on Saturday, returning to 75 Hillside Road each week through Oct. 25, organizers said.

The open‑air market will run Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring many of last year’s farmers, vendors and artisans along with several newcomers.

A weekly story hour, new this year, will be presented by the Fairfield Public Library. Teen volunteers will read children’s books from 11 a.m. to noon on the green; families are encouraged to bring blankets or towels for seating.

“We are looking forward to another market season and are excited about our new partnership with the Fairfield Public Library,” market sponsor Ed Bocchino, owner of Lexington Home and Garden, said in a statement.

Bocchino also invited visitors to stop by the merchants of Greenfield Hill Commons before or after their market shopping.
