Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car In Fairfield

The accident occurred on Sunday, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian on Sunday morning.

At 11:37 a.m. police responded to a motor vehicle crash which occurred at the intersection of New England Avenue and Kings Highway Cutoff, where a pedestrian was struck while crossing the road, police said.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where they remain in critical but stable condition, police said.

Kings Highway Cutoff remained closed during the investigation, but has since reopened. The crash is being investigated by the crash investigation unit.
