Public Hearing Set In Fairfield On Neighborhood Assistance Program

The neighborhood assistance program is administered by the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services

FAIRFIELD, CT — The Town of Fairfield will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 3, to review applications submitted under the 2025 Neighborhood Assistance Act Program, officials announced.

The hearing is scheduled for 4 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Old Town Hall, located at 611 Old Post Road. Remote participation will also be available by teleconference. Residents seeking to join virtually can contact the Office of Community and Economic Development at 203-256-3120, or cedoffice@fairfieldct.org, to receive access instructions.

Three applications will be reviewed: two from the Fairfield Theatre Company—for general operating support and energy conservation—and one from the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club for energy conservation.

Following the hearing, the Town plans to submit its final list of proposed neighborhood assistance programs to the Representative Town Meeting at its session on Monday, June 23.

The neighborhood assistance program is administered by the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services. It offers businesses a state tax credit for cash contributions made to eligible community programs operated by tax-exempt or municipal agencies. The program does not involve any funding from the Town.
