The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Fairfield County, in effect until 11:30 a.m.  The <a href="http://forecast.weather.gov/showsigwx.php?warnzone=CTZ009&amp;warncounty=CTC001&amp;firewxzone=CTZ009&amp;local_place1=&amp;product1=Tornado+Warning#.UdGfXj7F35E" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">warning</a> states a storm capable of producing a tornado was spotted near New Canaan at 11:04 a.m. and is moving northeast at 25 mph.  The safest place to be in a tornado is a basement. The  National Weather Service advises you take shelter immediately.
