Traffic Alert In Fairfield For Bridgeport's St. Patrick's Day Parade
The parade, scheduled for Friday, will result in extra traffic in parts of Fairfield, according to Fairfield police.
FAIRFIELD, CT — With the Bridgeport St. Patrick's Day Parade scheduled for Friday, Fairfield police are warning residents to expect extra traffic for several hours in parts of Fairfield starting at 10:30 a.m.
The following roads will be closed during a portion of Friday:
- Fairfield Avenue: Closed from the Fairfield Town Line to Orland Street
- Post Road: Closed at the traffic circle to the Bridgeport town line (local traffic only east of Old Post Road)
- Grasmere Avenue: Closed to through traffic at Kings Highway East
- Black Rock: Closed at the town line
Fairfield police said that businesses in the affected areas will remain open, and vehicles will be permitted in the area to access them.
