Schwalbe's 'Books for Living' was chosen as Fairfield celebrates 10 years of the community reading. Over 400 people attended his talk.

From Fairfield Public Library: Bestselling writer Will Schwalbe visited Fairfield last night for the 2017 One Book One Town author visit at Fairfield University.

Schwalbe’s “Books for Living”, a book about the pleasure and importance of reading, was chosen as Fairfield celebrates 10 years of One Book One Town community reading. Over 400 people attended his talk.

Here are a few of many memorable quotes from the evening: “I believe part of the divisiveness in our nation is because people aren’t reading enough and not reading widely enough.” “Libraries are the greatest bulwarks I know against loneliness.” “I call reading radical listening.”
